Ingredients
- 1 tbsp + 1tbsp My Homemade fajitas seasoning
- 1 medium onion
- 1/2 large yellow bell pepper
- 1/2 large red bell pepper
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp lime juice
- 1 tbsp + 1 tsp oil
- 350 gms shrimp
Instructions:
I just got these really really fresh shrimps from the local farmers market here in Versailles.
Peel the shell. Devein it with the help of a tip of a knife. I am leaving the tails on, you can remove it if you like to.
Wash thoroughly in cold water. Put in a bowl to marinate.
You can refer the recipe of my own seasoning in the link below.
1 tbsp + 1tbsp of My Homemade fajitas seasoning
Add 1 tbsp of lemon juice and 1 tbsp of my fajitas seasoning to the cleaned shrimps.
Mix well. Marinate and keep aside.
I am using half portion each from two large bell peppers. You can use any kind of bell peppers irrespective of the colors.
Wash and dry the peppers thoroughly. Cut the pepper in half and remove the stems and seeds.
Slice them into approximately 5 cm thick. Peel and clean the onion, cut in half lengthwise and slice them similar to the pepper.
Put a pan on high heat. I prefer a non-stick pan as I use minimum oil.
Put the shrimps in the pan.
Cook for 4-5 minutes. I take advantage of the high heat to char it. Be careful as this can spoil the party.
Move the shrimp from the pan and keep aside.
In the same pan, put remaining 1 tsp of oil. Continue with the same high heat.
Put all the vegetables and saute them for approximately 4 minutes.
Put the remaining 1 tbsp fajitas seasoning. Stir them well.
Put the cooked shrimps and mix them together for 1 minute.
Cut off the heat and add 1 tsp lime juice. Mix them well.
